The Salt Lake Tribune -- Small suppliers ask for fluoride waivers:

"But Holliday, which serves some 10,000 east-side residents, and White City, which provides water to 14,000 residents, say the costs voters saw before approving the additive are not even close to what the actual price turned out to be. "

"That pamphlet, sent to voters before the election, said the additive (fluoride) would cost about $1 to $2 a year per resident, but Holliday and White City say the cost for them to put in fluoride would be $60 to $70 per resident a year."

North County Times - North San Diego and Southwest Riverside County News: "city officials have only recently finished installing the $300,000 in new fluoridation equipment at Escondido's water treatment plant. Next, they must ask the local office of Department of Health Services to run a mandatory series of tests before fluoridation can begin,"

(Maybe it's time for dentists to be trained only as teeth technicians, getting referrals from physicians schooled to detect cavities and provide nutritional couseling, beneficial to body and tooth. Very few dentists use their medical training to treat the tooth as if it's part of a body that needs to be nourished with nutrients - not just drugged with fluoride)
